First Day

I stayed up late watching Sherlock Holmes. A little long but worth watching. I woke up only thinking about more sleep.
I kept thinking about I have to change this thought somehow. I thought about how I wanted to fit better in my clothes and have a rocking superstar body on the beach next year. That is what got me out of my at 5am. Also our dog.... who is wonderful.

One thing I need to improve on is organization with my running stuff. I couldn't find my mp3. I was searching all around the house. We are in the middle of renovation's and our dresser is covered with a blanket. On Wednesday, my stuff will be placed together.

My eyes were so sleepy that when I put my contacts in they burned like the flames of hell. I cleaned my solutions so hopefully that helps.

I was wasting valuable hot water shower time. So my lesson from that run is to have everything together and ready the night before.

I changed my work out clothes too. I didn't wear my Running Room coat. I felt like it was sucking the circulation off my hands. I just wore my very bright reflective shirt with my hoodie sweater. The first step was the hardest and then after that everything kept moving.

It was actually not that cold out this morning. My back right leg hurt a little but all runners have something not feeling top performance. I'm going to stretch it out more today.

Overall, great first day at training.

"Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it."
